Key Technology Features:
[hiddn] technology is a patented Full Disk Encryption (FDE) technology that offers unparalleled flexibility, strength and management. |
Top- of-the-line security - proven by certification authorities worldwide to the higest level governmental and military standards. FIPS-140-3, NATO, CC EAL4+. |
Several solutions are available - encrypted hard disks for laptops (internal AND external 2.5" and SSD) - which include keys stored on removable cards, and encryption cards for desktops & servers - all based on the [hiddn] technology. |
Why is the laptop hard disk solution more secure than software encryption? As well as the disk having the [hiddn] hardware technology working alongside the drive, there is also a built-in slot for a removable card (which contains the keys). So to unlock the data, the user must enter their username, password AND be in posession of the key card. |
A unique, KMS (central Key Management Server) is available for managing all keys and users enterprise wide. |
[hiddn] products are totally operating system and platform independent.
Exceeds requirements of the UK PCI DSS and CoCo compliance for encrypted data at rest. |
Key parameters and attributes available include setting key lifetime, read-only / write only keys, up to 32 different AES 256 bits encryption keys per user, custom Master Boot Record, forensic capabilities and split key functionality. |
Encryption keys are erased from the [hiddn] module during power-off. If a computer is lost or stolen you can rest assure that no attacker can retrieve your encryption keys because they are simply not residing on the [hiddn] module (or anywhere else in the computer). As a further step of securing your data at rest, certified two-way authentication mechanisms blocks unauthorized persons from trying to access your data with false Key Tokens. |
[hiddn] management is easy as there is just one technology solution the organization has to work with for securing all data at rest. [hiddn] works on laptops, desktops and servers.
The [hiddn] technology is built on a simple, but very robust "bump in the wire" approach. By operating on the ATA protocol level, [hiddn] encrypts all user data sent to the hard disk transparant of the operating system and thus maintains platform independency. Physically and logically separated data and key interfaces prevent cross-contamination between user data and keying material. |
